Internal changes: Bye, Bye Maxine. Hello Justin!

After five years of doing the most extraordinary COMEDY QUIZ shows all over Europe, it was time for an internal reshuffle.

Former co-host Maxine Penney and show creator Alex Kitain recently decided to part ways so that Maxine can and focus 100% on her budding DJ career and other projects.

We want to thank her for pizzazz and unforgettable stage presence and wish her all the very best for her future endeavours. 

At the same time, we're excited to welcome Justin van Beek as a new regular co-host. Justin began doing shows with the COMEDY QUIZ team in December 2025 and has since become a regular face at our shows.

Justin is direct and funny in the way that comes from actually paying attention to people — which, as a former customer success lead turned barista turned quiz host, is sort of his whole deal. Expect sharp questions, zero mercy, and the distinct sense that he already knows you’re trying to use chatgpt for your answers.
